Thailand is the word hub for SRS

Initially I wanted to do some research on the issue of transgender surgery in Thailand, but I realized pretty quickly that the topic is far too complex to be dealt with on this website. I nevertheless decided to list a few links to dedicated sites, just in case somebody with a newly developed interest in the subject needs a little help in his hunt for resources.

The best place for information I have found is Anne Lawrence's website with Medical and Other Resources for Transsexual Woman. On that site she has a section on SRS, which lists a number of surgeons in Thailand. Should you be a transgender parent, this site has a section for you too.

If you are looking for names of surgeons in Thailand, the Indigo Wiki is another place you can check out. It has a chapter on surgeons and some of them are Thai.

The Phuket Plastic Surgery at Phuket International Hospital has doctors who have performed hundreds of male-to-female sex reassignment procedures. Their site also shows guidelines and conditions for surgery.

Dr.Chettawut Tulayaphanich is a plastic surgeon in Bangkok who claims to have been trained by a professor who had performed more than 1,000 sex reassignment surgeries and who has been involved with more than 1,000 cases himself.
