Questions you should ask before implant surgery
Never hesitate to ask
Dentists in Thailand tend to much more open to questions than their colleagues in other parts of the world. If you are unhappy with the attitude of a dentist when you ask questions or with his answers, walk away. A good dentist twill see the conversation with you as an opportunity to learn more about your special concerns and your individual situation. So, here is a first list of questions you might want to ask. Print them out or write them down and add those you have in addition before you go to your first appointment.
Do you perform the dental implant procedure or will it be done by another specialist?
Do you recommend a conventional implant or an immediate implant?
How is the procedure performed?
How much time do we need between the setting of the implants and the loading with permanent crowns or bridges?
Will I get a temporary crown until I receive my permanent crown?
What will it look like?
Which implant system do you use (this will help you when you want to compare prices)? Which type of crowns or bridges?
How many implant procedures have you performed?
How successful have they been?
What problems or complications have you encountered?
What is the total cost of the discussed procedure including all services and materials?
