Package prices
Be sure to read very carefully what is NOT included in the package prices you will be quoted. Services like pre-operative exams and post-operative care are included in packaged deals of some hospitals and not not in those of others. You can ask the hospital or your agent for estimates about the services which are not included.
The prices below are average package prices in the US and, for comparison, the package price at the Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok, the biggest player in the filed of medical tourism in Thailand. Prices in US$ were converted at a rate of 1 US$ = 40 Baht.

Again, be sure that when you compare prices, that compare apples with apples. Many sites on the Internet advertise 'surgeon fees' for procedures. Typically these do then not include anesthisiology fees, operating room fees, overnight stay fees and pre- and post-operative examinations.
Two more points to clarify during your consultations and before you sign anything is who will pay the extra cost if the surgery takes longer than expected and will you be charged for revision surgery if it should become necessary. The answer to these questions determines what sort of risk for additional costs you carry.
