| The tension can be felt, rumors are spreading. It feels like the city is preparing itself for the final battle. Office workers leave the work early, companies are busy preparing emergency plans. After this weekend there will be a different scenario, no more standstill which dominated Bangkok during the last six weeks. |

 Sun, Surf and Surgery
The biggest dental clinics in Thailand are in Bangkok, but if you come here for holidays, you probably prefer to spend your time outside the City of Angels. The clinics listed below cater to tourists and should be able to take good care of you.
Phuket
Located in Patong beach, phuket, the Pearl of the Andaman, they offer a new concept of Dental treatment including a Tour
for your planned vacation along with total dental solutions and care.
They have a dedicated team of experienced and highly qualified dentists and dental specialists
covering cosmetic dentistry, dental implant, dental bridge, dental
crown, dental veneer, dental surgery, root canal treatment, gum
treatment, operative dentistry, general dentistry and more specific
treatments. 189/18 Rathutit Road , Patong beach, Phuket. Tel (667) 6 34 00 66
A good choice if you are looking for a clinic with branches in Bangkok and Phuket. They have modern facilities and a good number of specialists from every area. Patong Merlin Hotel, 44 Thaweewong Rd., Patong Beach, Kathu, Phuket (map) Tel: 076 345 341-2
They have three branches in Phuket and of their 6 dentists 2 were trained abroad. Straight forward little website makes a good impression. 62/5 Rasada Rd., Phuket 83000, Tel.: 076 215 025
The Bangkok Phuket Hospital belongs to the Bangkok Hospital Group, a network of 15 private hospitals (see also entry on the Top hospitals in Bangkok section) It provides a full range of surgery options for patients and has a dental section with a good reputation.
2/1 Hongyok Utis Rd., Muang District, Phuket 83000 (map) Tel: (+667)625 4425
The Phuket International Hospital is smaller than the Bangkok Phuket Hospital, but also offers most types of treatment and surgery, including hemodialysis, gynecology, cardiology and of course dental and plastic surgery. It is a friendly place and a little cheaper than the Bangkok Phuket Hospital.
44 Chalermprakiat Ror 9 Road, Puket 83000 (map) Tel: (+667)6249400
Koh Samui
It's a hospital with a nice swimming pool but only one dentist in it's dental center. Might still be your best bet on the island. Although they advertise a full range of services, I wouldn't plan a complete makeover there. Northern Chaweng Beach Road, 90/2 Moo 2, Bophut, Koh Samui, Surat Thani, Thailand, 84320, Tel: 077 230 781-2
Pattaya
The Bangkok Hospital Pattaya is one of the 13 locations run by the Bangkok Hospital Group. They have 24 dentists with specialists from every field of dentistry listed. If you want to combine a beach holiday with dental work this is a good choice. 300 Moo, 6 Sukhumvit Road, Km 143, Banglamung, Chonburi, (map) Tel: 038 259 944
