Political Tension mounting in Bangkok but there is hope for a peaceful settlement
The tension can be felt, rumors are spreading. It feels like the city is preparing itself for the final battle. Office workers leave the work early, companies are busy preparing emergency plans. After this weekend there will be a different scenario, no more standstill which dominated Bangkok during the last six weeks.

Thai Medical Services for Foreigners - Contact Us

If you are not sure which hospital to choose for your treatment or you want to know which doctors are the best in their field you can contact our MediThai.net contributor, Dr. Donna Robinson. What makes Dr. Donna special other than being a MediThai contributor? Well, she is a fully trained medical doctor who has been in Thailand for 18 years. She speaks Thai and is a fully qualified Thai Medical Practitioner having passed the Thai Medical Examination in 1998. Needless to say that she has an excellent knowledge about the pros and cons of hospitals, and clinics in Thailand. Her specialty is knowing which hospital is best in which field, and which individual doctor, LASIK surgeon or dentist at that hospital is the best among their specialists. This service is free of charge, and below we explain why it is so.

So, why don't we just publish that information? We do, but not at this level of detail. All the hospitals she recommends can be found on our website. Talking about specialties or individual doctors goes beyond what we feel we can maintain and keep up-to-date. At least for the time being.

If you could not find the information you were looking for, you can contact Dr. Donna directly - her email address is below. She will answer your questions to the best of her knowledge. If she doesn't know, she says so too. That's another thing we like about her.

If you decide to ask Dr. Donna to help you arrange a treatment for you, she will do so under her own name, not under the MediThai.net name. She will not charge you more than you would pay, if you arrange your treatment for yourself, but she will collect a commission somewhere along the way, from the hospital or the other service providers she brings you in touch with.

The benefit for you is that rather than just choosing a good hospital, she will recommend the best doctor in that Thai hospital. Like hospitals in all other parts of the world, hospitals in Thailand also have an A list and a B list of doctors... but they don't publish those. The price you pay for the best and most experienced doctor of the facility is often the same you pay for the others. Information is power and Dr. Donna, as a medical doctor in Thailand for 18 years as well as speaking Thai, is a true insider.

On the MediThai.net web site you also find information about other agents. Shop around! They all offer similar services you can choose from: recommend a dentist or surgeon, do the booking for you, arrange a hotel and airport pick-up and anything else you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Many of them also have nurses among their staff. What they tend not to have, is a medical doctor at location, who keeps himself updated on the latest developments in the medical services industry. That's what makes Dr. Donna special. Besides being a MediThai.net contributor of course.

You can reach Dr. Donna at dr.donna@medithai.net
